Happy New Year everyone I’ve recently taken the last couple of days off to spend time with the family and reflect on how blessed I am to be able to start a new year. I hope that everyone out there is able to do the same and go into this year with new goals, and high spirits. Now that I’ve removed the tampon out of my ass here are my picks for today.
My first pick tonight comes from the Charlotte Hornets at Washington Wizards with the Charlotte Hornets money-line +102. This is going to be a great game for the hornets as they are currently on a 3 game winning streak.
I love the Hornets because of how they spread the floor and shoot the three. In their last five games they are shooting 34% from three compared to their season average of 38%. If we take into account mean reversion and they can return to shooting at that level they should be able to overpower the wizards at home.
Washington is coming off a loss to the Chicago Bulls at the hand of a buzzer beating 3 by DeMar DeRozan. They are a difficult team to beat so this will be a close game.
Second pick that I have tonight is going to be on the Denver Nuggets @ Dallas Mavericks with the Denver Nuggets money-line +120.
The biggest reason that I believe that the Nuggets have this game in the bag is that the Mavericks are without Kristaps Porzingis, as a result Jokic will be able to get inside the paint and absolutely feast.
Enough said, Jokic is the reigning MVP for a reason, Lock this bet up as a W.
