Yesterday we managed to go 2-2 with our picks. The winning picks were Miami Heat -5.5 and Joel Embid over 29.5 points.

Our losing picks involved the Boston Celtics who managed to squander a 7 point lead in the fourth quarter and ultimately lost 108-103, and the -8.5 Grizzlies vs Oklahoma city who started out strong but ultimately fell to SGA in a clear revenge game. On a personal note, I also chose to audible and bet on the Spurs @ Clippers with Clippers -5.5, this turned out to be a worse idea than the time I chose to jackoff before work and pinched a nerve in my neck.

That being said here are my picks for todays games:

My biggest play today is going to be on Phoenix Suns @ Los Angeles Lakers with Phoenix Suns -6.5. The Phoenix Suns are on a 3 game win streak so they have good momentum coming into this game vs the Lakers 2 game losing streak.

The suns will have their entire starting five on the court along with their outstanding bench in Cameron Johnson, Cameron Payne, and JaVale McGee. The Lakers on the other hand will be without Anthony Davis (sprained MCL), Avery Bradley, Austin Reaves. LeBron James and Trevor Ariza are listed as probable.

The key for Phoenix to cover the spread will have to come from effective three point shooting. If Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges, and Devin Booker can get hot from the three the Lakers will be forced to take bad shots and will struggle to keep up. I can see JaVale McGee playing a big part in the pick and roll and will look to bet over points on him if available.

Prop Bets: Mikal Bridges over 10.5 points, JaVale McGee over points (not available on Fanduel).

The second play that I’m looking to make today will be Indiana Pacers @ Miami Heat with the Indiana Pacers-108 money-line. The Miami Heat had deplorable paint defense against the Pistons that gave Detroit the lead in the third quarter and resulted in a 90-100 loss.

The heat are a team that relies on their 3 point shooting, if the pacers can lock down the perimeter the pacers will have no trouble winning this game. The Pacers will need to drill the paint, get the heat against the ropes, and then knock them out in the third and fourth quarter.

The final pick I have for todays set of games is on the Minnesota Timberwolves @ Dallas Mavericks with the Over 214 points. The Timberwolves have averaged 113 points in their last five games and the Mavericks have averaged 105. The last time these two faced off they had a point total of 216.

Prop Bets: Tim Hardaway over 3.5 threes @ -102
